Yes, it’s that magic time of the year again, where I ask you if you’d like to nominate me as an HCL Ambassador for next year.
So what is an HCL Ambassador? Here’s what HCL themselves write about the role:
Being an HCL Ambassador is a distinction that HCL awards select members of the community that are both experts in their field and are passionate about sharing their HCL knowledge with others.
HCL Ambassador are just that, “Ambassadors” of HCL Software’s products. They are not employees of HCL. Their commitment to sharing their expertise has a huge positive impact on the HCL community – whether they are blogging, writing books, speaking, running workshops, creating tutorials and classes, offering support in forums, or organizing and contributing to local events – they help make HCL’s mission of making technology play nice, possible.HCL Ambassador are eager to bring their technical expertise to new audiences both in-person and online around the world.
HCL Ambassador is a yearly appointment and is initiated or renewed through this self and peer nomination process.
What does this mean for you? It means that I get access to a lot of betas, cool stuff, information and other things that makes me a valuable source of information for you.
I’m also able to function as a liaison directly between you and the product administrators at HCL. I’ve done this several times in the past few years when people have asked me about licensing, upgrades and other technical questions.
It also means it’s easier for me to run the Nordic Collaboration User Group, since I get direct access to program and product managers. This also means it’s easier for me to get you help, support and other assets that might a benefit for you.
So, how do you nominate me? You go to this form, whichi us running on Domino Volt, select that you want to nominate someone else, and fill out some of the stuff you think I should be recognised for.
If you have a story about something I helped you directly with or another story that demonstrates why you think I should continue being an ambassador, please share that in the form.
