Quick and very easy tip on how to add new contacts to your personal contacts application in HCL Notes from an email.
Last notes tip I started on a series about the Contacts application in HCL Notes.
You can add a contact from an email by right clicking on the email and choose Add Sender to Contacts…:
A popup window will appear where the email address and name fields automatically will be filled out. You can then add more details if you want:
After clicking on OK, the contact will be added to Contacts.
yeah, but it is still not possible to click/right click an email address in an open email (to,cc,bcc) , to add that to address book and you can only add senders from email you received. (not from emails you sent (in all documents))
Running v12.01 in 2022
Yes, but I’m showing what you CAN do in this series. Not what you can’t do. As for adding contact whom you’ve sent emails to, you can go into Recent Contacts and find them and click on Move to My Contacts. A bit cumbersome, but it’s a solution.
