HCL has now published the community where the new forums for HCL Notes, Domino, Connections and Sametime can be found. Oh, and there are news about the IBM Cloud situation.
The old Domino forums at ibm.com has for the past few months been closed for new postings, and soon the archive will most likely disappear. Whether that archive will be a part of the new forums that HCL have launched remains to be seen, but we finally have a new place to post our questions and answers.
The new community can be found here, and you need to set up a user to participate.
The community offers more than forums. You can also write blogs, upload or watch videos and participate in events. This is a great way for the Domino community to give feedback straight back to HCL, as well as help each other on the the way forward for the collaborative solutions we like so much.
Cloud news
There are also news when it comes to the cloud situation. As mentioned umpteen times here, IBM Cloud is dead, and the service won’t be continued after July 16th, 2020.
Naturally this has lead cloud users to be very worried about what they should do. Richard Jefts, General Manager for Digital Solutions at HCL has now posted a blog explaining the situation, what HCL is doing about it, the various paths you can take and what HCL are planning. You also get an FAQ section. You can read the blog here.
