Norwegian artist Espen Kraft has a new single out, where he tells of a true story.
Espen Kraft released his debut full length album, Those Days, back in 2017. I gave it a glowing review for a music magazine.
I wrote:
Imagine that the music of Pet Shop Boys, OMD, Jan Hammer, Psychedelic Furs, Tears for Fears, Prefab Sprout, ABC and New Order went to bed with M83 and Daft Punk
Since then he has released several digital singles, and today he’s out with The Longest Summer.
According to Espen, the song is about your girlfriend dumping you because you have no food left in the fridge. The only thing to do then is to write a mid tempo sad and happy song about it.
According to him, it’s a true story, that happened over 30 years ago.
The song is a typical 80s sounding track Espen has gained an online reputation for. If you like Pet Shop Boys ala 1987, this is the track for you.
In the past two years, Espen has also had success with his Youtube-chanel, where he publishes music videos, tutorials and reviews of synths and equipment.
The new song is available on all streaming platforms:
